There's good reasons that white people don't often talk about whiteness and race
Discussions on whiteness often lack guidance on how white people can engage constructively with their race.
To further complicate things, white people often have feelings of guilt and fear being labeled a racist or appearing ignorant. Many also struggle to contend with their historical privilege or their racial identity.
The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way. A new approach to discussing race paves the way for effective engagement with whiteness without employing guilt and shame.
We talk about the stories of being white that have shaped who we are
The stories we have about ourselves give us our sense of identity, belonging, and our place in the world. They powerfully shape our aspirations, fears, and ultimately our everyday choices and actions.
These stories are a mix of those we tell ourselves and those that are told about us, including dominant cultural narratives.
Through individual and group consultation, we examine stories, identity, and connection. We provide you the tools you need to author new stories, reshape your identity, and make new connections that help you to become the person you truly want to be.

Listen to others' experiences and reflect on your own. Collectively reframe harmful societal stories and support each other in rewriting individual and shared narratives.

Rewrite your story with greater awareness and empathy and develop a deeper understanding of how you can contribute to racial justice.
